the sound shore old fashioned

Our take on the classic Old Fashioned pairs Sound Shore American Single Malt Whiskey with chocolate bitters to complement the unique palate of our whiskey.

Ingredients:

50ml Sound Shore

American Single Malt Whiskey

1 teaspoon sugar/ sugar cube

3 dashes Scrappy's chocolate bitters

Orange peel (to garnish)

Method:

To create this take on the classic, simply muddle the sugar – cubed, loose, or even a simple syrup – and bitters together in a tumbler or rocks glass. (Pro tip: a drop of water here helps dissolve the sugar). Then add a whiskey pour and a few cubes of ice, stir and garnish with a lemon or orange peel twist. While an orange peel seems to be more fashionable these days, it's simply a matter of personal taste.

the Mamaroneck mule

Mamaroneck is a long way from Moscow, but this Mule is delicious nonetheless. It combines Sound Shore Craft Vodka with ginger beer and an orange peel garnish.

Ingredients:

4 oz Sound Shore Vodka

12 oz Brooklyn Crafted Ginger Beer

Orange wheel (to garnish)

Method:

Simply combine the ingredients in a copper tumbler. You'll need plenty of ice per serving (we prefer crushed). For garnish, we suggest an orange wheel, plus a sprig of mint if you happen to have some on hand.

mandorla Martini

As their names might suggest, Artie and Vinny’s backgrounds are from the Bel Paese.

In honor of our fratellos’ heritage, we present a timeless Martini with an Italian twist.

Ingredients:

2 oz Sound Shore Craft Vodka

1 oz Disaronno Almond Liquor

1/2 oz Dry Vermouth

Granulated Sugar (for rim)

Roasted Almonds (to garnish)

Method:

Take all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and fill with crushed ice up to 2/3rds capacity. Shake thoroughly for 30 seconds so that melting water from the ice dilutes the drink as well as chills it. Strain the drink into a sugar-rimmed chilled martini glass. Garnish with three almonds.

THE SPANISH COVE

Named after a picturesque hideaway in Mamaroneck Harbor, the Spanish Cove adds a hint of Iberian flair to a classic,  creating a delicate balance of sweet and sour taste with a subtle citrus aroma. Sound Shore Vodka, with its subtle hint of sweetness and creamy mouth feel, blends perfectly.

Ingredients:

2 oz Sound Shore Vodka

2 oz Licor 43 Cuarenta Tres - popular Spanish Liquor

A healthy splash of lime juice

Lemon wheel (to garnish)

Method:

Add ice cubes into your cocktail shaker. Add Vodka, Licor, and lime juice in it. Shake well until icy chilled. Strain and pour into a chilled martini glass, then add  the lemon wheel to garnish
